Barbara Bramble has lived in Blue Hill for the past 6 years, and before that, in Washington, DC. She is VP for International Conservation and Corporate Strategies at the National Wildlife Federation, where she focuses on climate change and the plight of tropical forests in South America and West Africa. She is the immediate past Chair of the Board of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), the global eco-label for wood and paper products from sustainably managed forests.
An Environmental lawyer, she is skilled at difficult negotiations and knows non-profit law. She speaks Spanish and Portuguese. She jumped in to Blue Hill life with both feet, discovering new hiking trails, attending each long Town Meeting, and keeping up with local politics. An avid reader, she supports the BHPL as a Four Seasons giver.
She serves on Finance, Strategic Planning and Personnel committees.
