Now a resident of Brooksville, Jessica Booth moved to the Peninsula in 2004 from Philadelphia, though her connection to the area goes back to 1988 when her parents moved to Deer Isle. Jessica worked at her brother’s restaurant, Ovenworks, before tackling the food industry by running her own breakfast and lunch spot for a season. She also worked for a couple of years at the Deer Isle country club before having her first child, Fred, and then her second, Birdie. Jessica was also a member of Ellacappella, now known as Ellas & Fellas, and was able to perform at a few of the library’s holiday parties, and even worked for a time at the library. Jessica now works at Armaid, a company that helps people rehab their arms after injuries. Jessica and her family are long-time library users and we are so pleased she is joining the board.
